Our Story
Rabbit Hole Relics began with a simple idea:
that the objects we surround ourselves with should mean something. The name came naturally. A rabbit hole is a place you fall into, willingly or not. A departure from the noise, the routine, the weight of everything pressing in. For some, it’s curiosity. For others, escape. For me, it became something more essential. A sanctuary.
I’ve spent years learning how to navigate anxiety and panic attacks. In those moments, you search for anything that can steady you. Something familiar, something grounding. For me, that place has always been the ocean. The smell of salt in the air, the rhythm of waves breaking, the feeling of sand beneath my feet. It’s where things quiet down. Rabbit Hole Relics was built around that idea: that everyone has a place where they feel safe. Whether it’s the beach, a quiet home, the woods, or somewhere they’ve never been but carry in their imagination. Scent has a way of taking you there instantly.
Anxiety can come from anywhere. Stress, uncertainty, the weight of everyday life. Panic attacks, for me, have often come without warning. Not always tied to a thought or a moment, but something chemical, sudden. In those instances, being able to return instantly to something familiar isn’t just comforting, it’s a lifeline. Fragrance became that for me. And my hope is that, in sharing these candles, they can become that for someone else. Something that enhances their own rabbit hole. Something that adds to a space that already feels safe. Maybe even, at times, something that steadies the moment.
Each candle is designed to capture a place. Sometimes one I’ve known, sometimes one I’ve only imagined and translate it into something you can experience wherever you are. These fragrances aren’t just names; they’re destinations. Personal, nostalgic, and familiar in their own way. The vessels themselves carry stories of their own. Every candle begins as a reclaimed wine bottle some decades old, others just emptied days before. Each one is hand-cut and finished individually. No two are ever the same. Before it ever holds a flame, each bottle has already lived a life. Inside, I use organic soy wax, hemp and cotton wicks, dipped in beeswax—materials chosen not just for quality, but for how they burn: clean, steady, intentional.
Rabbit Hole Relics isn’t about mass production. It’s about creating something personal. Something that belongs in your space. A relic isn’t just an object. It’s something that carries meaning. My hope is that these candles become part of your own rabbit hole. Your place to retreat, reset, and feel at ease. Not to replace your sanctuary, but to deepen it. To add something tangible to a place that already matters.
